The AAPCO Group's history mirrors the career path of Founder and CEO Chip Dobner in many ways. It began in Atlanta, Georgia in 1988 as a new construction painting contractor for the multifamily apartment industry and then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1991. As AAPCO pursued and attracted renovation projects in the Carolinas, the goals were to be a successful contractor, perform quality work, and establish a solid reputation in the industry. Through Chip's desire to establish trusted relationships with his clients, AAPCO quickly grew into one of the largest multifamily apartment renovation contractors in the region.
